Apple Crisp
1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter
6 medium to large Jonathon apples, peeled, cored, & sliced
2 T. sugar
Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter using pastry blender until crumbly. Put apple slices in an 8- or 9-inch round glass cake pan. Sprinkle apple slices with sugar. Sprinkle oat mixture on apple slices. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Serves 6.
